Great! I suppose you want the announcement published on 2018/06/01, can you confirm this? (And proposed time (with timezone)? Being weekday and short notice we'll do our best to try to publish/send it on time, but no guarantees).
It would be great if we could release the announcement on 2018/06/01
between 10-14 UTC but it's not the end of the world if it happens a few
hours or days later. It should happen before June 17 though because
that's when we start the new LTS cycle.

About the content, I've just done a quick look and will full review later, but for now I think the "About/More info/Contact info" needs to be adapted (remove the debconf-related paragraphs and maybe set contact info specific for LTS? We can have a look at former LTS-related announcements for reference).
Thanks. I have removed DebConf specific information now, just the usual
"About Debian", "More Information" and "Contact Information" should be
sufficient. Everything else should be in our main text. For reference
